How to make Almond Ginger Biscuits
Ingredients
  • 200g butter softened
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 65g golden syrup
  • 1 Teaspoon backing soda
  • 4 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 125g almonds or brazil nuts or both
  • 2 cup flour
Directions
  • Sock almonds in hot water for 1 Hour.
  • Drain and slice thinly, then toasts the nuts in the frying pan over the medium heat stirring occasionally.
  • Place soft butter and sugar in a bowl and beat with electric mixer until creamy.
  • Mix in golden syrup, backing soda and spices.
  • Stir in almond then flour to form soft dough.
  • Press biscuit dough firmly in to a rectangular soft mould. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Heat oven to 170C for 15 minutes.
  • Separate biscuit dough from the mould by applying gentle pressure, cut in to half cm thick slices.
  • Place cookie slices in to the baking trays lined with non-stick backing paper and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden.
  • Remove from oven and let cool then store in an airtight container.
  •  Serve with Tea or coffee.
  • Enjoy (nooshe jan).
Tips

Take the time to read recipes through before you begin.

These biscuits can be stored in an airtight metal container (Cookie container) for up to a few weeks.

Always record the date on the container of food when storing in the freezer, fridge or pantry.
