Ingredients

4-6 servings (served with bread)

Directions
  • Clean, wash and chop spinach
  • Clean and wash yellow split peas, then place in a pot.
  • Add spinach, water and bring to boil. Cook for half an hour.
  • Add meatballs and turmeric.
  • Dissolve rice flour in half a cup of water and add to the pot. Stir for a minute.
  • When the ash is thick enough, add salt and lemon juice to taste.
  • If you need to, add more water or rice flour to get the right thickness.
  • Decorate with fried onion, saffron and nana dagh.
  • Enjoy (nooshe jan).
Tips

You can make the meatballs earlier and freeze until needed.
