Ingredients
  • 4 cups béchamel sauce or white  sauce (how to make béchamel sauce)
  • 4 cups meaty pasta sauce (how to make meaty pasta sauce)
  • 250g lasagne pasta
  • 1 medium sliced capsicum
  • 1 cup sliced mushroom
  • 4 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oregano powder
  • 1 cup grated tasty or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste
Directions
  • Prepare béchamel sauce (how to make béchamel sauce).
  • Prepare meat sauce (how to make meat sauce).
  • Add oregano, chili powder and chopped garlic to the meat sauce.
  • Spoon some béchamel sauce into a large or medium baking dish. Top with a layer of pasta sheet.
  • Spoon about one third of the meat sauce over the pasta, top with a few pieces of mushroom and capsicum.
  • Follow with about half of the béchamel sauce on top.
  • Repeat with another layer of pasta, meat and béchamel sauce.
  • Finish with the last layer of pasta, the remaining sauce, and grated cheese.
  • Cover the dish with aluminium foil and bake in the oven @ 325° for 45 minutes.
  • Uncover and cook for a further 30 minutes to get a nice colour.
  • Serve with salad.
  • Enjoy (noosh jan)
Tips

You can cover the dish and cook in the microwave for 20 to 30 minutes, then use the grill for 15 minutes to finish cooking.

Always taste the food at the end and adjust the salt and spices to your taste.

You can always freeze this food for later use.

Always record the date on the container of food when storing in the fridge or freezer.
