How to make Basic Butter Cream Frosting
Ingredients
  • 150ml milk (Rome temperature)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder or (1 tsp of vanilla essence)
  • 130g butter (softened)
  • 1 cup icing Sugar
Directions
  • Beat the butter in a large bowl for 5 minutes until butter change colour.
  • Add 1/4 cup of the icing sugar and beat until smooth.
  • Now add 2 tablespoons of the milk and beat for 30 seconds.
  • This time add 1/4 of cup icing sugar and 1/3 of a cup of milk and beat the mixture until it’s smooth and fluffy.
  • Repeat the process until all the milk and sugar is used beating between each addition.
  • Pipe onto cooled cupcakes or spread over a cooled cake.
Tips

Take the time to read recipes through before you begin.

You can use essence flavour of your choice Instead of vanilla.

You can always freeze this icing for later use; all you need to do is to take it out of freezer for a few hours before using it.
