Ingredients

6-8 servings

Directions
  • In a frying pan, add oil, fried onion, meat and fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add tomato paste or tomato puree and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add fried ghormeh sabzi herbs and pinto beans.
  • Add water, dried lime, salt and pepper.
  • Bring to boil, cover and let simmer over a low heat until the meat is cooked.
  • It will take around 4 hours for this khoresht to cook.
  • This khoresht will be ready when you see oil forming on the surface.
  • Now enjoy (nooshe jan).
Tips

If you don’t soak the beans before cooking you will need to add 1 more cup of water.
