How to make Tomato Paste Homemade Iranian Style
Ingredients
  • 2 kg ripe tomatoes
  • 1-2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
Directions
  • Wash and cut tomatoes.
  • Blend in a blender, then pour into a deep pot.
  • Add salt and bring to boil.
  • Simmer on medium heat until all liquid evaporates.
  • Add oil and fry for 3-4 minutes while stirring constantly.
  • Pour into a jar and add a bit of oil on top. Store in the fridge.
  • Use it according to the recipe in hand.
Tips

It’s best to use summer tomatoes.
