Ingredients
  • 2 littres white vanilla ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon green food coloring
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen fruit (optional)
  • Round or rectangular bowl
  • 1 jam sponge roll ( how to make sponge roll )
Directions
  • Set ice cream on counter and allow to soften for 15 minutes, or until it’s soft enough to spread.
  • Line a bowl securely with plastic wrap, allowing the plastic wrap to hang over the edges of the bowl.
  • Thinly slice the jam roll and arrange them in a single layer to cover the bowl, cutting them to fit as necessary.
  • Divide the ice cream into 3 separate dishes.
  • Keep one dish as is, and add green food coloring to the second dish and red food coloring to the third.
  • Spread the green ice cream over the top of the cake and arrange the fruit on top.
  • Now spread white and red ice cream layer after layer.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and freeze until firm.
  • At the time of serving, carefully turn the ice cream over onto the serving dish. Remove the bowl and plastic wrap, and serve immediately.

Tips

The quantity of the sponge roll will vary, depending on the size of the bowl.

The width of the sponge is optional.

You can use any color food coloring you like.
