Ingredients
  • Small cucumbers
  • 1 litre water
  • 60g salt
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1-2 green peppers or pinch of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill tips or tarragon
  • 1 jar 
Directions
  • Wash cucumbers and prick them with a toothpick or fork.
  • Arrange cucumbers in the jar.
  • Add water, vinegar, salt, pepper and garlic.
  • Water should cover cucumbers.
  • Place herbs in a small plastic bag, seal the bag and place in the jar.
  • Close the lid and shake the jar a few times to help dissolve the salt.
  • It will take about a week for the gherkins to be ready.
  • You can serve Gherkins with sandwiches.
  • Enjoy (nooshe jan). 
Tips

You can use fresh dill tips or tarragon instead of dry herbs.
