Ingredients

4-6 servings

Directions
  • In a pot, pour oil, add meat, fried onion and fry together.
  • Add tomato paste, yellow split peas and water.
  • Now add gard e leemoo (dried lemon powder), pepper and mix well.
  • Cover the pot and let simmer on a low heat for 3 hours.
  • Check to see if the meat is cooked. Allow more time to cook if need to.
  • Now add salt and lemon juice, and cook for ten more minutes.
  • When ready decorate with chips.
  • Serve this khoresht with chelo or kateh.
  • Now nooshe jan. 
Tips

You can use any kind of potatoe fries.

You can always cook separately and add to the stew in last stage of cooking.
