Ingredients

6-8 servings

Directions
  • Clean and skin rhubarb.
  • Place fried onion into a medium sized pot, add meat and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add water, salt and fried herbs, cover and bring to boil.
  • Simmer gently on a lower heat until meat is cooked.
  • Cooking time will be around 3 hours.
  • Cooking time will vary depending on the type of meat you use.
  • Add salt when meat is cooked.
  • At this stage the stew should not have any liquid. Later, we’ll cook the rhubarbin the stew and this will add the liquid.
  • Transfer the stew into an ovenproof dish.
  • Arrange the rhubarbon top and sprinkle with salt.
  • Cook in the microwave or the oven until the rhubarbis soft.
  • Serve this stew with steamed rice (Kateh)
  • Nooshe jan (enjoy).
Tips

Cooking time will be around 1 to 2 hours if cooking in the oven.
