Ingredients

4-6 servings

  • 2 cups pinto beans
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2-3 tablespoons fried onion (how to make fried onion
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • lemon juice and olive oil to taste 
Directions
  • Wash beans, place in a pot or pressure cooker and soak overnight (Soaking). 
  • Add potatoes, fresh onion, salt, fried onions, spices and other ingredients.
  • Cook until beans are very soft.
  • When cooked, squash some of the beans to add more thickness to the soup.
  • Add lemon juice and olive oil to taste.
  • Serve with bread.
  • Now enjoy (Nooshe jan).
Tips

You can prepare and keep this food in an airtight container in the freezer for 3 - 6 months.

Always record the date on the container of the food you keep the in freezer. 

If you're using a slow cooker, you don’t need to soak the beans. Also use less water.
