How to make Simple Plain Pancake
Ingredients

makes 12 small pancakes

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
Directions
  • Sift flour and baking powder together.
  • Whisk egg and milk together.
  • Slowly add flour and sugar, whisking constantly to make a smooth batter.
  • Melt butter and oil together.
  • Heat a small non-stick frying pan then brush lightly with the oil mixture.
  • Spoon about ¼ cup of the mixture into the pan, and swirl the mixture around to cover the pan.
  • Cook the pancake until it begins to bubble on top.
  • Flip using a spatula and cook the other side for 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Serve with the topping of your choice.
  • Enjoy.
Tips

If you like you can use ¾ cup of self-rising flour instead of normal flour and baking powder.

If you are using a bigger pan, you need to use more batter.
