Ingredients

makes 3 cups

  • 2 cups sugar (230g)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup rose water
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid saffron (How to make liquid saffron)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Directions
  • Place sugar, cardamom and water in a saucepan and bring to boil.
  • Add rose water, lemon juice, and liquid saffron.
  • Continue to boil the mixture on a medium high heat until it forms into syrup.
  • Allow to cool then store in an airtight bottle or container.
  • Refrigerate and use as needed.
  • You can store this syrup in the fridge for up to a 4 of months.
Tips

Always use a decent sized saucepan to avoid creating a mess.
