Ingredients

Directions
  • Remove puff pastry or flaky pastry from freezer 30 minutes before use.
  • Preheat oven to 350 F or 150 C.
  • Lightly spray an oven tray with oil.
  • Cut each sheet into 9 square pieces.
  • Arrange pastry pieces on the tray leaving a small gap between them.
  • Place the tray in the middle shelf of the oven.
  • Bake for 5 to 7 minutes (depending on the oven).
  • Remove tray from oven.
  • Make a few extra pieces and leave them in the oven longer so they gain more color.
  • Now cut each piece into 2 and spread 2 tablespoons of sweet cream onto one piece.
  • Place the other piece on top and spread some cream on top of that.
  • Now arrange them into a square or rectangular dish.
  • Crumple those extra pieces and sprinkle them on top.
  • Sprinkle some icing sugar on top, then sprinkle on some more crumpled pastry.
  • Enjoy (nooshe jan).
Tips

You can keep this cooked pastry in an airtight container in the pantry for a short time.

Always record the date on the container of the food when storing in the freezer or pantry.
