Ingredients

6 servings

  • I cup haricot beans
  • I cup penny pasta
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1-2 cups chopped fresh onion or leek
  • 3-4 tablespoons chicken powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 cup celery pieces
  • 1/2 cup capsicum pieces
  • 8 cups water 
Directions
  • Wash beans.
  • In a slow cooker, place beans and pour in water.
  • Add pasta, chicken powder, salt and pepper.
  • Add tomato paste, chopped onion, curry powder and mix.
  • Add capsicum and celery. Cover the pot and cook on automatic overnight.
  • Serve this soup with bread.
  • Nooshe jan (enjoy). 
Tips

You can use chicken pieces instead of chicken powder.

Vegetarians can leave out the chicken powder.

If you cook this soup in a normal pot it will take 3 to 4 hours to cook.

You can use a can of haricot beansto cook this soup faster.

If you use chicken gelatine use less water.
