How to make Spinach and Feta Puff Pastry Pie
Ingredients
  • 300g fresh spinach
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 garlic cloves chopped
  • 200g feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup pizza cheese
  • 2 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppers
  • 5 tablespoons fried onion (how to make fried onion)
  • 3 sheets puff pastry

Directions
  • Wash, drain and cook spinach in a frying pan until there is no liquid left. Set aside to cool.
  • Place on chopping board and chop with a sharp knife. You can chop the spinach before cooking as well.
  • Preheat oven to 250 C 350 F for 15 minutes.
  • Lightly grease a 20 cm square oven proof dish or cake pan.
  • In a bowl place feta cheese, squash and add all the other ingredients mix well.
  • Cover bottom and some of the sides of the dish with pastry, keep some left over for decoration, and then pile with fillings.
  • Cover the top with another sheet of pastry, fold over the side pastry to cover the top sheet and press firmly.
  • With a sharp knife make a few cuts on the top of the pastry.
  • Make decoration and brush the visible pastry with melted butter.
  • Bake for 45 minutes and serve with salad or your favourite sauce.
  • Enjoy (nooshe jan).
