Ingredients

2 servings

  • 4-5 courgettes /zucchini
  • 3 tablespoons pyaz dagh (refer to the related video)
  • 4-5 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1/2 cup water 
Directions
  • Prepare fried onion (refer to the related video).
  • Wash and chop courgettes.
  • In a pot, add courgettes, oil, fried onion, water and garlic. Fry lightly on a lower heat and stir occasionally.
  • Cooking time will be around one hour.
  • Serve this food with bread or steamed rice (refer to the relater video).
  • Enjoy (nooshe jan). 
Tips

Don't fry the courgettes for longer than an hour as they will go bitter.

If you want to make this food faster, you can grate the courgettes and then cook as directed.
