How to make Drained Rice (berenge abkesh)
Ingredients

1-2 servings

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 4 cups water 
Directions
  • In a pot, clean and wash rice twice, then add 3 cups water.
  • Add salt and bring to boil. Add another cup of water and bring to boil again.
  • Boil until rice is tender (rice should still be hard in the middle), then drain.
  • You can use this rice in a variety of recipes.
  • Enjoy (nooshe jan). 
Tips

Adding more water in the middle of cooking will help to make taller, fluffier rice.
