How to make Basic béchamel sauce
Ingredients
  • 25g butter, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder or black pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon oregano powder
  • 1 cup grated tasty or cheddar cheese
Directions
  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over a medium-high heat.
  • Add flour while stirring.
  • Slowly add milk, whisking constantly, until mixture is smooth.
  • Cook until sauce comes to a boil and thickens, while stirring constantly.
  • Add cheese, salt, pepper and oregano and stir for 1 minute.
  • Now the sauce is ready.
  • Enjoy.
Cooking Tips
When making kebab and you’re using wooden skewers to make kebabs, soak them in water for 30 minutes before use.
To have a spreadable butter for your sandwiches, keep the butter in room temperature for 1 Hour, or place it in the microwave oven for 15 to 20 seconds. Times vary depending on the amount of butter you need.
